অধ্যায় ৪ · The Pronoun
Pronoun-এর প্রকারভেদ
সহজ করে বুঝি
Pronoun না থাকলে ভাষা কেমন হতো ভাবো — ‘Rahim went to Rahim’s home because Rahim was tired’। বিরক্তিকর, তাই না?
এই পুনরাবৃত্তি এড়াতেই Pronoun: ‘Rahim went to his home because he was tired’। এটাই Pronoun-এর একমাত্র কাজ — Noun-এর জায়গায় বসে ভাষাকে সহজ করা।
প্রকারগুলো নাম দেখেই বোঝা যায়: নিজেকে ফিরিয়ে দেখালে Reflexive (myself), দূরের-কাছের দেখালে Demonstrative (this/that), প্রশ্ন করলে Interrogative (who)।

ভালো কিছু বললে 231 (You, he and I); দোষ স্বীকার করলে 123 (I, you and he)।
- You, he and I will go to the picnic. (ভালো কাজ → 231)
- I, you and he are guilty of the crime. (দোষ → 123)
- মনে রাখো: 2 = You (2nd person), 3 = He (3rd person), 1 = I (1st person)।

শুদ্ধ কোনটি — ‘between you and I’ না ‘between you and me’?
